Building of buffer zone around of marked map objects

Print Previous page Top page Next page

ic_8439 The given mode allows to build a buffer zone around of the marked objects  and  to write down it as object into main or user map. In this task linear, dot, area and vector objects are  processed.

For this purpose it is necessary:

- to mark some objects on the main map using Search / Mark mode or on the user map and to press Buffer zone for marked objects button;

- to enter zone radius in meters or to choose the numerical semantics all owable  for  marked objects;

- to choose an existing map or to create a new one for record of zone objects;

- to select sample of the object - zone for existing map from the dialog Choice object sample. Map name for placing of result of building and map, from which one object sample is selected, should coincide.

For new user's maps a result of processing is the followings:

- creation of a new user map with a resource file SERVICE.RSC;

- user object layer is added to the resource file of new map;

- buffer zone objects are created in this layer with obligatory semantics Zone radius. At  building of a buffer zone on specified semantics zone width will correspond to numerical value of  semantics for each object, and the maximal value of zone width is entered into semantic of new object - Zone radius.

For buffer zone building around of vector objects it is necessary to specify a way of processing  of the given type of objects - as linear or as dot.

Window «Distance between points on edge» and «Limit removal of angular point in radiuses» are intended for customizing by the user of the form of zone edge. For the rounded edges of zones the distance between points on the edge in the meters is entered, recommended value - radius of a zone/15. At direct types of angles it is necessary to specify the maximal removal of a point from an angle in radiuses. Recommended values - from 1 up to 3.

There is a possibility to change process parameters. Open INI file located in directory associated with the current map. Find section named [ZONE] and needed parameters, such as code, name of zone objects, code and name of semantics, layer name and RSC file name.
