Order of actions at connection of GPS\ GLONASS receiver to COM-port

1. Connect GPS\GLONASS receiver to the serial (COM1: COM2:) computer port.

2. On the Connection bookmark specify in the Used port group the type of port - COM.

3. On the Connection bookmark, specify the number of computer's serial port to which the GPS\GLONASS receiver is connected.

4. On the Connection bookmark, specify the Data rate that matches options of your GPS\GLONASS receiver.

5. On the Connection bookmark, specify Update rate to port for inquiry of the information from the device. By default the Update rate is equal to 1 second.

6. On Connection bookmark in the list of devices the model of your receiver must be selected. If the model in the list is absent, choose "unknown device".

7. On Connection bookmark in the list Protocol specify the protocol NMEA 0183 version 2.1.

8. Specify in the GPS\GLONASS receiver the protocol format of exchange - NMEA0183.

9. Specify in the GPS\GLONASS receiver the coordinate system for delivery of coordinates of current point WGS-84.

10. In the bottom part of dialog click by the Open button. Thus there is an appeal to a serial port and connection with the GPS receiver is installed.

Note: For some models GPS\GLONASS of receivers it is necessary to send a command onto activation. On the Output bookmark specify a command in an edited line. Send a command to the receiver by pressing the Send button.

Example: to activate the GPS-device of company MAXOR Javad the command is applied

« em,,nmea/GGA ».

After performance of the above actions on the bookmark Input the information, every second received from GPS\GLONASS receiver, is displayed. On the Coordinate bookmark there are displayed coordinates of the current point transmitted by GPS\GLONASS receiver.
