Checking of absolute elevations

Print Top page

This task is intended for the checking of absolute elevations of objects and depths values of isobathes  of a vector map's sheet.

For check of conformity of thickened (main), basic and additional  (secondary) contours to elevation of a cut of a contour, and also for decrease of amount of messages about errors MAPKWA.INI file in system directory of GIS Panorama is used.

Codes of contours (thickened, the basic, additional), processed in a sheet of a vector map, are set in [ISOLINES] section of MAPKWA.INI file.

Codes of linear and square objects breaking sequence of elevations (for example, the square rivers, breaks, etc.), are set in [BREAK] section of MAPKWA.INI file.

In section [ISOBATH] of file MAPKWA.INI there are set the codes of isobaths (line keyword), marks of depths (point keyword) and a code of semantics "depth" (semcode keyword). The section [ISOBATH] is used at specifying the mode «Control isobaths».

Structure of MAPKWA.INI file:

   [ISOLINES]

    main=21100000

    base=21200000

    secondary=21300000

   [BREAK]

    line=91000000

    square=31410000,31431000,51111000

  [ISOBATH]

   line=31310000

   point=31320000

   semcode=7

File INI button allows to choose other file created by structure of MAPKWA.INI, containing other codes.

Before starting of the task onto execution it is necessary that the field Vertical interval of relief (m) in the task window has been filled.

For a topographical map, by default, the value of height of a cut from the passport of a sheet is taken.

At the control of absolute heights of a sheet of a topographical map with constant height of a cut in the field Vertical interval of relief (m) should be, for example: 20, and in a field main (m) - 100.

At the control of absolute heights of a sheet of a topographical map with variable height of a cut, in the field Vertical interval of relief (m) should be, for example:

-150 500 10  500 2000 20  2000 8000 50,

where-150 (min) 500 (max) 10 (cut (section)), 500 (min) 2000 (max) 20 (cut (section)), etc.

At the control of absolute heights of a sheet of geographical map with preset values of heights, in the field Vertical interval of relief (m) should be, for example:

10 20 50 100 200 500 1000 1500 2000,

where 10,20,50, … heights of contours on the given sheet.

At the isobathes control of a sheet of a topographical or geographical map by preset values of depths, in the field Vertical interval of relief (m) should be, for example: 2 5 10 20 50 100 150 200, where 2,5,10, … values of isobathes depths on the given sheet.

Mode «Additional vertical control» is used for the additional control over vertical profiles. Increases an operating time of the program, but raises quality of the control.

Mode «Control with widely spaced» is used for decrease of errors messages, at presence of discharge of contour lines on a checked sheet.

Mode «Control the direction of secondary contours» is used for check of digitizing direction of additional contours. At the switched off control additional contours are checked only by height.

Mode «Control without considering the directions of digitizing» is used for decrease of errors messages at not observance of digitizing direction of contour lines.

Mode «Variable contour interval» is used for the control of sheets with variable height of cut. At inclusion of a flag it is necessary to fill in the field Vertical interval of relief (m)

(for example:   -150 500 10  500 2000 20  2000 8000 50).

Mode «Control of isobaths» is used for the control of values of isobaths depths. At inclusion of the flag it is necessary to fill in the field Vertical interval of relief (m) (for example: 2 5 10 20 50 100 150 200).

The «Issue warnings» mode is disabled by default. Disabling this mode allows you to reduce the number of program messages, which makes it easier to analyze the control results. Warnings are "Discrepancy of elevations" messages, in which for two objects the identical values of height are issued.

Process of the control begins after pressing of Run button.

It is possible to interrupt process of the control, having pressed Cancel button.

The user can customize the composition of checked map objects using the Filter button.

It is possible to change the code composition of controlled objects, having pressed File INI button and having chosen other INI-file prepared beforehand on structure of MAPKWA.INI file.

As a result of the task work the report of control of the processed region sheets is created, which can be looked over in Map Editor in a View error of control mode. The line of the report contains the information about numbers and heights of objects not coordinated by codes, height or a direction of digitizing.

The sign "-" at value of height specifies a direction of digitizing from top to down, "+" - from below - upwards.
