Converter into DXF format

Print Top page Next page

It is intended for export of a map from GIS Panorama into files of DXF format of AutoCAD package of version not below 14.

Start of the converter is executed under the control of Panorama system, by means of menu: Tools / Run Applications / Data converting / Converter into DXF-14/DBF format.

The created file of DXF format contains plane coordinates of map object in meters in coordinates system of source map and height for three-dimensional map objects. Precision of coordinates  unloading can be changed by user. The mode of precision is set on the Metrics precision panel of a converter dialog window. Precision of 6 signs after a comma is set by default.

The user has an opportunity to form or to not form semantics in a created DXF-files. Semantics will be written down into tables files of DBF format. Formed semantics can be viewed by means of AutoCAD system. The given mode is set on the Semantics panel of converter dialog window. By default semantics will be not created.

WARNING!!! At work in a mode of semantics creation in settings of WINDOWS in Settings \ Control panel \ Regional Options \ Numbers as a divider of the whole and fractional part you must set "." (POINT).

Names of layers in a created DXF-file are specified by the user by one of modes:

- by a serial number of a layer in a map, by a full name of layer of map, by a key of layer of map (a short name),

- by a key of object of map (view of object). The given mode is set on the Layer panel of a window of the converter dialogue.

By default the name of a layer of the draft is formed by a serial number of a layer of map.

The kind of graphic displaying of map objects in a DXF-file is set by the user on the Output type panel of the converter dialog window. In Fill mode the exact copying of map objects into a DXF-file is made. In Outline mode the polygon painted over objects are unloaded as the external contour, and thickness of a line is kept. In Scheme mode all map objects are unloaded in a schematic kind, namely, point objects as a cross, other objects as the contours from thin lines. The Outline mode is set by default.

Into a Map file name line a name of an active map in the present situation will automatically be placed. If necessary for converting it is possible to choose other map by means of the file choice button, which is placed on the right after a line.

In Output file name line a name of an output file will be formed. If the current works region contains one sheet of a map the name of an output file coincides with a name of a map sheet, but the user can change a name of an output file by means of the file choice button, which is placed on the right after a line. If the open region of works contains some sheets of a map the mode of formation for an output file name is set by user in the Output file name panel. At choice of By map name mode the name of output file is automatically formed by name of a map sheet. At choice of With name selection mode the name of an output file for each map sheet is requested of the user.

Graphic representation of objects in DXF file is formed on the basis of conventional symbols in GIS Panorama. If necessary, the description of point objects (localization in terms of GIS Panorama) can be taken from a file of symbols of D14 format. In this case the file prepares beforehand and is selected by user before start of converting. At that the name of a file will be placed into File of symbols line.

File of codes serves for compulsory change of object type and a layer name in a DXF-file where the object should be placed. If the file of codes is not set, type and a layer of map object are taken from the classifier, differently from a file of codes. If necessary, the file of codes is created beforehand and is selected by user before start of converting. At that the name of a file will be placed into File of codes line.

The user can execute converting of all map or selective number of objects. The choice can be carried out by layers, by numbers of objects, by type, etc. For a choice of convertible objects it is necessary to press Filter button of the converter dialog window and to execute a filtration of objects.

It is required to press Save button of the converter dialog window to start process of converting.

Results of converting are saved in a text file of the work report. The name of a file of the report coincides with a name of a DXF-file, but has LOG extension. If there were serious errors of converting it will be offered to user to familiarize with the report of work. At the positive answer the report will be displayed on the screen.

Also at converting the text file of conformity of layers numbers, their names and keys is created. The name of a file coincides with name of DXF - file, but has LAY extension.

Converting color

Converter allows you to transfer the color of objects in two modes.

At the enabled flag "Save colors in RGB" transfer and saving the color in RGB format is carried out that allows to transfer as much as possible precisely colors of a map palette in DXF format.

At the disabled flag "Save colors in RGB" "pulling" to the nearest index of palette color AutoCAD is carried out.

Thus, 16 colors are used only:

black (7), dark blue (172), green (92), marsh (136), dark red (12), light brown (31), dark brown (32), dark grey (253), dark grey (252), light blue (140), light green (91), blue (171), red (240), lilac (211), yellow (51), white (255).
